This M59 ARVN cut locally made shirt is made of ERDL non-ripstop fabric.
This unit is a very interesting piece that is estimated to have been procured and produced to be worn by U.S. military advisors during the Vietnam War. It is a large size and in excellent condition.
The fabric used is the non-ripstop specification seen on early ERDLs. The print contours are soft and have a different feel from later ripstop fabrics. The silhouette is the M59 cut seen in many South Vietnamese Army (ARVN) uniforms, and the overall size is large, suggesting that it was made for U.S. Army soldiers sent as advisors at the time.

The place of production is unknown, but judging from the sewing and specifications, it is presumed to be a locally made product from South Vietnam. Nevertheless, this item is in dead stock condition, and there are almost no signs of having been used. One button on the right sleeve is missing. The size is large, and both the condition and specifications are perfect, making it a very complete piece. This rare shirt has a different background from the mass-produced U.S. military-issued shirts, and strongly reflects the advisor equipment under actual battle.
