ERDL (Engineer Research and Development Laboratory) camouflage is known as the iconic pattern of the Vietnam War. Among these, this item is a rare piece believed to have been manufactured during the very early stages of ERDL camouflage’s deployment in combat. The size is estimated to be SMALL-REGULAR.

This jungle fatigues jacket is made from early-print fabric dating from around 1966–67, and its unique color tones—distinct from later mass-produced items—are particularly appealing. The beautiful contrast between the vivid light green and brown allows you to fully appreciate the three-dimensional texture inherent to ERDL camouflage.

Although originally designed with long sleeves, this jacket was customized into a short-sleeved version, likely by the wearer or while in the field. Such modifications were indeed common in Vietnam’s hot and humid climate. The roughly cut cuffs exude the raw power and authenticity characteristic of gear used as practical equipment on the battlefield.

The coloration is particularly noteworthy. This is a used item showing signs of wear. The sleeves have been customized to short sleeves. While there are signs of aging throughout, the ERDL camouflage colors remain relatively well-preserved, giving it an excellent vintage vibe.
