U.S. 6-COLOR DESERT CAMOUFLAGE TROUSERS—one of the camouflage patterns emblematic of the U.S. military during the Gulf War. These are authentic 6C Desert Camouflage trousers, commonly known as “Chocolate Chip Camouflage.” The size is SMALL-REGULAR.
This item is from a 1991 contract (DLA100-91-C-0315), as confirmed by the contract label on the inside. Additionally, the supplier is listed as WRANGLER, a long-established American workwear brand.The 6-Color Desert Camouflage features a unique design consisting of large camouflage patterns in tan, brown, and pale green, overlaid with small black and white spots modeled after “rock shadows.” Because these black spots resemble chocolate chips, the pattern is affectionately known as “Chocolate Chip.”
Adopted by the U.S. military from the 1980s through the early 1990s, this camouflage pattern left a particularly strong impression on U.S. military gear during the Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm.
The fabric is labeled as 50% NYLON / 50% COTTON. It features details typical of combat trousers, including large cargo pockets on both thighs, hip pockets, adjustable straps on both sides of the waist, and a drawcord at the hem.
