The inner label bears the markings “COAT, MAN’S, COTTON, WIND RESISTANT POPLIN, OLIVE GREEN, ARMY SHADE 107” and “DSA 100-67-C-3214,” confirming this is an authentic U.S. Army item from the 1967 contract.The fabric is 100% cotton wind-resistant poplin.

This is the highly sought-after 3rd Model among jungle fatigues. While it features four large, diagonally placed pockets, it uses smooth cotton poplin fabric rather than the ripstop fabric adopted in the later 4th Model. Its appeal lies in the details characteristic of Vietnam War-era jungle fatigues and the soft, worn-in appearance unique to well-worn poplin.

Above all, what makes this particular piece so special is that it retains a strong sense of its original, worn condition from that era.

On the chest are an “AGUIAR” name tape and a “U.S. ARMY” tape.Above them is a patch that appears to be a qualification badge, while both sleeves bear rank insignia, and the 25th Infantry Division’s SSI is sewn onto one sleeve. All of these patches are said to be original to the period, giving this piece more than just vintage appeal—it carries the authentic weight of a uniform actually worn by a soldier.

This unit is famous for its appearance in the movie “Platoon.”

Condition: Used. There is overall fading, signs of wear, and stains; stains on the back appear to be from actual use. There are also ink stains around the pen pocket.
