This item is from the DSA-100-67-C-4426 contract and was manufactured in 1967.Manufactured by ALPHA INDUSTRIES, INC., it is one of the rare early contracts from the company’s initial phase of full-scale military supply. The 2nd Model under the 1967 contract had a relatively short production run and remains a highly sought-after model that strongly retains the details of the early Vietnam War era.
The front zipper features an aluminum zipper. This specification predates the later switch to brass zippers and is highly valued by collectors as a detail characteristic of the early models.
The condition is excellent; judging by the overall appearance of the jacket, it appears to have been worn only a few times. The fabric retains its firm texture, and there are only minimal signs of wear. While some slight signs of use are visible, this jacket is in superb condition for an authentic 1967 piece.
A liner is included, but it is not designed for the M-65 Field Jacket; rather, it is a liner for the M-65 Field Parka. While the size matches the jacket, the button positions do not align perfectly in some areas, so it cannot be fully attached. Therefore, please consider the liner as a bonus item only.
The 1967 2nd Model, featuring aluminum zippers and from a relatively early production lot during the Vietnam War era, is becoming increasingly difficult to find each year.
