This N-1 deck coat is a masterpiece that was issued by the U.S. Navy during World War II. This is an original vintage piece with details unique to the period, such as no stencil, alpaca lining, and cotton grosgrain outer fabric.
Outer fabric is made of high-density cotton grosgrain, which has a tough texture to block wind even when worn. The lining is made of alpaca and wool boa lining for warmth. The front has a dual zipper and button closure, and is packed with functional details for cold-weather work, such as a hood-integrated collar and drawcord hem.
The stencil and labels are nearly gone and illegible, but the size is 38. Zipper is movable. Brass zipper. The entire garment has a good amount of fading and bite, giving it a dry texture and presence that is unique to WWII originals.
