This is a 1940s Japanese Army cotton coat. It is assumed that the coat was privately procured using a waterproof fabric like tent fabric. It is believed to be for officers' use. It does not have an examination stamp, as is common. Overall, the fabric is rather stiff and heavy. The coat is a wonderful example of a privately procured coat, with its Japanese ochre coloring and British-influenced coat design. It is in good condition, although there is some fading. This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
